The Reed Industrial and Manning Industrial Parks are located off Exit 22 of the Mountain Parkway. A short 22 mile drive west via the 4-lane Mountain Parkway provides Stanton direct access to I-64. Interstate 75 in Lexington, Kentucky is then easily accessed another 16 miles from the I-64 /Mountain Parkway split. Stanton is also served by Kentucky Highways 213 & 15. All are rated AAA trucking highways.

Blue Grass Airport is the nearest scheduled commercial air service. It is located 50 miles northwest of Stanton in Lexington, Kentucky. It has daily arrivals and departures from a diverse group of airline carriers.

Additionally , Stanton, offers easy access to small planes with its 3,000 foot runway and hangars.

About us

The Industrial Authority is a non-profit corporation created to provide assistance, stimulate, promote and encourage the development and expansion of business activity in Powell County.

The organization is governed by a Board of Directors from various fields in the business community with the purpose of assisting in the county’s industrial and economic development efforts.
